Help with career??? writers, and journalist please help?

ok i am gonna be straight up honest with you!

i am 22 years old!

i really don%26#039;t read magazine....or newspapers..but when i am in an english class..i just love to write! and so with that i want to become a journalist...but everyone in my family says that its a very tough job and that chances are i probably won%26#039;t make it due to the lack of reading i do...especially the fact that i hate politics! so i would never want to write for like new york times or something.....

i live in a very small town and well....we don%26#039;t have smart teachers...i admit i am not all that smart either!

i just can%26#039;t seem to find a career that i want to do...all i think about is being a journalist,

and well i would love for write to rolling stone, AMP, etc.

on the other hand i would also love to be a photographer, an editor, even a music major of some sort!

how can one become successful..what do i need to do???

is there hope for me? what is the salary rate for these types of jobs..?? and how do i get started!

would all this fall under communications!

hey there!!! even i%26#039;m 22 n i%26#039;m doin my post graduation in %26#039;journalism and mass communication%26#039;....u sound more like me...even i don%26#039;t read newspapers or magazines for that matter....but i watch news n read some articles related to my subjects at times....itz not that hard to do...u can become a journalist...don%26#039;t get confused just stay focused n do wat u love to do!!!

i would follow what your heart tells you or i would do that as a part time job sort of as a back up and i would find a full time job to rely on until you are sure of what is what
