Are the Newsweek top 100 high schools legitimate?

I have heard that Florida and Texas pay for their students AP exams so that their schools will be rated higher on that list. i have also heard that the teachers get bonuses for certain scores

It is as legitimate as any other rating./

Ha. If that was only the case. As a teacher in FL, I don%26#039;t know of any kids who get paid. Maybe by their parents as an incentive. According to your grades, you are eligible for scholarships. And, some teachers in the whole country do get paid for their students performance. But a lot of unions are calling that unfair and trying to block that.

No rankings are ever perfect but they give a good idea of the better schools. I wouldn%26#039;t doubt what you said. If they included private schools in the rankings I doubt there would be many public schools on the list if any.
