I guess all the women are getting a kick out of this, but most of us men can鈥檛 wait for it go. I%26#039;m all for choice in gender roles, but now it%26#039;s as if feminine males and masculine females are being endorsed, promoted, advertised and made to look %26quot;superior%26quot;.
Seriously, traditional men made out by American media as lazy, stupid, boring, incompetent, or abusive. And of course they are help out and ridiculed by the %26quot;modern%26quot; masculine female, who is of course smarter, more intelligent, aggressive, manipulative etc....
If women were allowed by current society to be more feminine and men to be more masculine, then for one we wouldn%26#039;t be playing against nature. And finally America wouldn%26#039;t be such a sexually repressed PC infested nation full of teachers getting it on with 13 years olds, high divorce rates, porn addiction etc鈥?

I too miss the days when men were men. Wartime is never the time to be testing out new social concepts. That and I find the idea of feminizing men as being well... oxymoronic? I%26#039;d rather have a bunch of lazy, stupid and incompetent manly men, then a bunch of energetic, intelligent, and competent feminine men, but that%26#039;s just me.
If women want to be equaly to men, by all means. But don%26#039;t do it by destroying the male gender.

I know exactly where you are coming from! Why are the traditional men not intelligent? I know plenty I don%26#039;t understand where this logic comes from. The people I hang out with are all hard working musicians and laborers (men and women). All of them consider a good time having a drink with mates, playing some good music, playing some good games. They are the kindest, smartest most loving people I know and they are the ones people shun. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s as bad here in Australia though, in America it seems pretty bad.
In the end people are people, treat everyone with respect.

i would like for men to be available to be sensitive - but not feminine, i don%26#039;t think sensitive or empathetic are inherently female at all. but that seems to be the old-school version of positive personality traits.
i agree with your portrayal of men in the media, the fat ugly stupid white guy always gets the babe.
women are not becoming more feminized, they are conforming to the ideals of men and calling it being in touch with their sexuality. women are no longer women, they are objects for men and play it up.
I agree with you on so many levels, i think the biggest downfall of our country has been the women%26#039;s rights movement - it spurred men to fear and want to objectify us in reaction, keeping us at a lower form of life, that our value is in solely our looks - and our women of today and good gravy our youth have completely embraced that. women have divorced, broken up the family unit, and embraced %26#039;harlot%26#039; (it won%26#039;t let me write %26#039;slut%26#039;) as a lifestyle into our 40%26#039;s and up.
we are all becoming %26#039;boys will be boys%26#039;, and our moral system has all but failed.

I%26#039;m a woman I don%26#039;t believe any feminism is good; respect goes a lot further according to my book; no one needs to be a feminist to earn that..As for the male/female thing you mentioned; I%26#039;m not too willing to give any of my female parts to a man, except that which is natural.. That%26#039;s what it%26#039;s all about modern feminism masculinize the women and feminize the men; what a sick way to go; let men be men and women be women, of course they can%26#039;t do that; they%26#039;d be losing the footing they%26#039;ve already acquired; they%26#039;d lose that footing they become weakened something they fear more than anything; it means a one way ticket back to square one - oppression.

You all are quite aware that talk is cheap so why, instead of using your fingers to SILENTLY rap about it, don%26#039;t several of you pioneer or spearhead a movement to counter or rather eliminate this %26quot;feminization%26quot; ? Your last paragraph is a BULLSEYE !! And it is a culmination of %26gt;40 years of %26quot;waiting for it to pass%26quot;...... Thus, you%26#039;d be well advised to cease the chatter %26amp; DO something about it !
