Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending el

Obama told CNBC he could support raising the capital gains tax on stock profits from the current 15 percent up to 25 percent to pay for government spending elsewhere.

%26quot;I think that we can have a capital gains rate that is higher than 15 percent,%26quot; he said.

More than half the people in America are invested in the markets. Income on assets, equities and so forth is taxed at now at 15%. It%26#039;s not concerned earned income -- and it%26#039;s not just the rich. If you%26#039;re a member of the California teachers or personal employees union out there, your fund, your pension is invested in these instruments. All of your municipalities and the fire departments, everybody%26#039;s pension is invested in one of asset equity or some other.

No, and I do not support his other tax proposals either.

no...

AAARGH,,,,,,,,,,I don%26#039;t want to live in a commie country.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

I%26#039;m not an economist, but where would the money come from to keep supporting the war? I%26#039;m guessing we%26#039;re gonna be paying for that in more ways than one.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

No. I favor the elimination of the capital gains tax. Many countries have lower capital gains rates than the U.S.A. does, even in %26quot;socialist%26quot; Europe. In Communist China, there is no tax on capital gains (hence the boom in the domestic Chinese stock market).

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

Nope - and I don%26#039;t even make any income that would taxed in that catagory.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

More than HALF of the people in America are invested in the market?

Ehhh...no.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

Hell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That man will tax us all in to the poor house.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

NO, nor do I like his idea of confiscating $30,000,000,000 to give to people who overbought homes with nearly nothing down.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

boogey man issues

I see tax returns all day, and I will tell you that if you earn $50k - $100k you are probably paying taxes of 20-25%. But I see people who make $1 - 25 million, and they pay 16%. So who do you think Bush helped by lowering the gain rate from 35% to 15%. Someone earning $5 million (and you%26#039;d be surprised at how many do) is getting much more than 1000 times the benefit than any pension plan member.

Warren Buffet offered a reward to any billionaire who pays a higher percentage in taxes than his secretary. No one has taken him up on it. Anyone earning less than $100K who votes Republican, is voting against himself in order to give handouts to the rich. Anyone earning more than that is voting against himself if he votes for Clinton or Obama. It baffles me how many poor conservatives there are.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

no way! please do not vote for Obama!!!!!!!

or Clinton

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

Well, I am not against paying more taxes. They support alot of programs that benefit everyone. If we don%26#039;t raise taxes how long can we continue to borrow for foreign governments? That may be a better question. I for one don%26#039;t like our country indebted to China or any other foriegn government. The options don%26#039;t look great to get out of the dire situation we are in. Anyone wonder why gas prices are so high, it is because of the weak dollar, same reason everything else is costing more. We need to both reign in spending (like a trillion spent in Iraq) and raise taxes it is the only way to prevent disaster in our economy.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

Yep.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

So it taxes investments seniors make for when they can no longer work and sends the money to his $800 billion to the UN to spend abroad plan?

No, I am not for that.

But then, I am for Ron Paul who is a Constitutionalist, not a globalist.

Do you as a voter support Obama`s raising capital gains tax to 25% to pay for government spending elsewhere?

Not No ... HELL NO !!!!

CHANGE is ALL that you will get back from the Socialist/Communist/Liberal Democrats, when they TAKE your hard earned paycheck from you to give it to able bodied people, %26quot;FEEDERS%26quot;, who do NOT want to get off of their butts and actually get a job !! Our wonderful government hand-out programs !!

Please, TRY to HOPE in one hand and SPIT in the other hand!

Which one is filling up the fastest ??

I don%26#039;t support raising taxes, period. Which is one big reason I am not voting for Obama or Hillary.

No nation in world history has ever taxed itself into prosperity. Liberals do not seem to understand that simple truth.

I didn%26#039;t understand that he said he would raise the Cap gains to 25%. As well most people in the market are in retirement accounts, then these IRA type accounts are not taxed at all as Cap gains. ROTH IRA%26#039;s are not taxed at all when you qualify to use these accounts the old traditional IRA%26#039;s are taxed when you withdraw the money at 59 1/2 or later. The tax is an income tax at the normal rate depending on your income. Most average americans don%26#039;t have a major tax issue on Cap gains. As well I don%26#039;t think he plans to raise the taxes to 25% somewhere in between 15 and 25 %.

So the teachers union accounts that are retirement accounts will not be hit by the Cap gains tax.

Put simply the majority of americans are in the market in retirement vehicles that are not effected by Cap gains. So it won%26#039;t effect most americans. Also he did not say 25% so far.
